Betty Jean Pryce Weeks Runaas, 80, of Beloit, formerly of Orfordville, WI, died on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Madison, WI, to Warren and Carrie (Webster) Pryce. As a young woman she worked in Madison as a secretary, as a waitress in Beloit, and at the Admiral plant in Harvard, IL. She enjoyed her retirement years in Florida at the Blue Parrot Park, shooting pool, playing cards, shuffle board and Putt putt golfing.
Betty is survived by her children: Bruce (Lihui) Weeks, Bert (Sharon) Weeks Jr., Beth (Donald) Thompson Sr., Roberta (Runaas) Elmer; two step-children, Yvonne (Dennis) Paffel, Larry (Chris) Runaas; half-brothers: James (Edna) Rasmussen, Gary (Judy) Rasmussen and Darron (Sharon) Rasmussen; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Charlotte (Pryce) Barrenger; a daughter, Brenda (Weeks) Day; her first husband, Bert Weeks Sr.; and second husband, Robert Runaas.
A graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at ORFORDVILLE LUTHERAN CEMETERY.
