Nancy Sue (Banta) Buroker, 78, of Janesville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at her home.
She was born on June 17, 1933, in Soldiers Grove, WI, to Sherman and Esther (Hestetune) Banta. She married Arlis Buroker March 21, 1953. After marriage, they lived in Salina, Kansas for a few years. Then they moved to Janesville. She enjoyed golf and tennis. Her biggest love besides her grandkids was visiting the casino.
She is survived by her husband, Arlis of Janesville; two sons, Mike (Sue Jenson) Buroker of Eau Claire and Rick (Linda) Buroker of Janesville; two grandchildren, Renae Bliss of Milwaukee and Shannon (Brad) Beaumont of Los Angeles; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Jalen of Milwaukee; three brothers: Gary (Betty) Banta of Janesville, William (Pauline) Banta of Madison, and Geoffrey (Vicki) Banta of Viroqua; and three sisters: Thela Olson of Soldiers Grove, Mary Lee Ivalis of Milwaukee, and June (Bill) Morrison of Orlando, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Banta (killed in World War II) and Frederick Banta; and six sisters: Gretchen Olson, Elaine Bourland, Patricia Schricker, Ruth Adams, Marjorie Nelson, and Barbara Bilikas.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012, at OUR SAVIORS LUTHERAN CHURCH in SOLDIERS GROVE, WI. Pastor Kent Johnson will officiate, and burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Soldiers Grove. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
