Shane E. Colson, Janesville  (1959 - 2012)

Shane E. Colson, age 52, of Janesville, died on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at home. He was born in Prairie du Chien on Sept. 21, 1959, the son of Gerald and Ruth (Dilley) Colson. He graduated from Parker High School in 1977, and married Teresa L. Brudos on May 14, 1983, in Janesville. Shane had been employed by Shell Oil, Hesser Auto and Fagan Chevrolet. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, and was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Packers and the Brewers. He enjoyed model building, hunting, fishing, and working on cars.
Shane is survived by his wife, Teresa L. Colson; two children, Kyle Colson of Janesville and Kara (fiancé, Jimmy Casey IV) Colson of Janesville; parents, Gerald and Ruth Colson of Fennimore; five siblings: Julie (Gary) Seales, Sherrie (Kerry Drake) Austin, Debbie Colson, Teresa (Brian Smith) Johnston, all of Janesville, and Mark (Kathy) Colson of Kansas City, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, with Rev. Bond Haldeman officiating.
