Arthur William Hafferkamp, Sharon  (1926 - 2012)

Arthur W. Hafferkamp, age 85, of Sharon, WI, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at the Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. He was born on Feb. 19, 1926, in Palatine IL, the son of William and Ida (Harmony) Hafferkamp. Art married Bernice Blume in Palatine on July 23, 1949. He was in farming his whole life, first on the family farm, then farming in the Barrington, IL, and Huntley, IL area, then finally in Sharon, WI, before his retirement. Art was a member of the Triune Lutheran Church. He was an avid card player, loved 4-wheeling around his farm, and was an active member of the Darien Seniors Club. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice of Sharon; his children: Stanley of Cary, IL, and his children: Tiffany, Eric, and Brett Hafferkamp; Alan (Mary) of Rockton, IL, and their children, Brittany and Blake Hafferkamp; Ronald (Maria) of Long Island, NY, and their children, Paige (Michael) Nappi and Rachel Gattuso; Sherry (Scott) Vinke of Clinton, WI, and their children, Ashley and Garrett Vinke; Julie (Dean) Tallman of Clinton, WI, and their children: Christopher, Jessica, and Sarah Tallman; three great-grandchildren: Nathan, Alec, and Chase; two brothers, William (Catherine) Hafferkamp and Richard (Marilyn) Hafferkamp; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Sandra.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at the TRIUNE LUTHERAN CHURCH in SHARON, WI, with Rev. Dale R. Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the MONROE FUNERAL HOME in DELAVAN, WI. Burial will be at the Darien Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Triune Lutheran Church.
