Mary Ann Hirth, 83, of Elkhorn, WI, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 at Vintage on the Ponds Delavan, WI. She was born May 17, 1928 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Matthieus) Ryan. Mary Ann graduated from Madonna High School in Aurora, IL, with the Class of 1947. She was united in marriage to Edward W. Hirth on Sept. 13, 1952 in Aurora, IL. Ed died May 21, 1987. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother. Mary Ann worked for over 20 years with General Woodworkers of Elkhorn, WI, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild, and sang in its choir. She enjoyed bowling. Mary Ann volunteered at St. Patrick’s School.
Mary Ann is survived by her two daughters, Sue (Jeff) Davis of Elkhorn, WI and Linda Carey of Albuquerque, NM. Three grandchil-dren: Jason (Wendy) Davis, Scott Davis both of Elkhorn, WI and Rich-ard Carey of Albuquerque, NM. Two great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Micaela Davis. One brother, Tom (Pat) Ryan of Oswego, IL. Two sister-in-laws, Margaret Ryan of Aurora, IL and Josetta Upchurch of TN; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Edward, brother, Jim Ryan and granddaughter, Stacy Davis.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 am Saturday , January 28, 2012 at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Burial will be at MT. OLIVET CEMETERY in Elkhorn, WI. Visitation will be Saturday 8:30 til 10 am at HAASE-LOCKWOOD & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI.
