Hilda Katherine Lintvedt, Edgerton, WI (1914 - 2012)

Hilda Katherine Lintvedt, 97, of Edgerton, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at the Edgerton Care Center. She was born on Nov. 8, 1914, in Edgerton, daughter of the late Henry and Lenice (Bachelor) Donstad. She was united in marriage on Dec. 29, 1934, to Henry Myron Lintvedt in Rockford. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1990. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton.
Hilda and her husband farmed in the township of Albion for many years. Hilda was a Superintendent for the Stoughton Fair for many years, she enjoyed over seeing the woodworking booth, an active member of the Martha Rachael Circle, a 4-H Leader for Maple Grove, but her special love was spending time with her family and friends. She will fondly be remembered for her cooking and her chocolate chip cookies.
Hilda is survived by two daughters, Shirley Karman and Jane (Robert) Furseth, both of Edgerton; three sons, Richard (Alice) Lintvedt of Lake Mills, Gary Lintvedt of Edgerton, Jack (Alice) Lintvedt of Kendall, WI; nine grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona Meadors of Alma, AR, and Barbara Higbee of Edgerton; one brother, John (Mary Lou) Donstad of Edgerton; sister-in-law, Ruth Lintvedt; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Robert "Doc" Donstad; three sisters: Grace Donstad, Martha Hanson and Lorraine Bartz; and son-in-law, Al Karman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at CENTRAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Edgerton, with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the East Koshkonong Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at the EHLERT FUNERAL HOME and Cremations Services, (US HWY 51 S) from 4 until 8 p.m., and at the CHURCH on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Edgerton Care Center or Central Lutheran Church.
