LaVerne A. Kinney, Janesville  (1946 - 2012)

JANESVILLE—LaVerne A. Kinney, age 65, of Janesville, died peacefully on Thursday, Jan 19, 2012 at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 5, 1946 in Janesville the son of Fred and Edna (Peterson) Kinney. LaVerne had attended public school in Milton. LaVerne was a unique individual…loved by many, hated by none. He was a kind and selfless man who would help out anyone, anytime, in any way he could. He was also the loudest, most obnoxious and dedicated Packer fan on the planet. He enjoyed yelling at the TV while watching the Packers, playing cards (he was a Euchre pro) and just chit-chatting for hours in the company of friends. He dearly loved his Madonna, his canine children, his family and his friends (of which he had many) with all his enormous heart. He will be sadly missed by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing him.
LaVerne is survived by his soul mate, Madonna Egerstaffer; 3 children: Michael (Dana) Kinney of Beloit, Melissa Kinney of Janesville and Adam Kinney of Beloit; 2 step-children, John (Bell) Senior of Janesville and Alisha (Ed) Walters of Afton; 2 siblings, Lon Kinney and Maureen Fuchs both of Janesville; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. LaVerne was preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings, Fred Kinney and Ardel Wakely.
A Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, Janesville. For online obituary and registry: www.schneiderfuneraldirectors.com
