DARIEN—Hazel Della Schutt, age 90 of Darien, WI passed away Saturday January 21, 2012 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI. She was born February 16, 1921 in Sharon Township, WI, the daughter of James L. & Hazel D. (Spiers) Smith. She married Donald K. Schutt March 16, 1946 In Sharon, WI. He preceded her March 25, 1997. Della and Don farmed in the Walworth and Darien area since 1950. She was a member of the Darien United Methodist Church, the Red Hatters & the Knit Wits.
She is survived by her children: Dolores Schutt of Clinton, WI, Donna (Fritz) Walters of Delavan, WI, Dave (Dawn) Schutt of Darien, WI, Daryl (Ron) Halsted of Delavan, Dan (Cherie) Schutt of Darien, Denise (Jim Wincapaw) Schutt of Walworth, WI, Deb Schutt of Burlington, WI, Dee Schutt of Elkhorn, WI and Dawn (Belle) Casique of Beloit, WI; grandchildren: Jeremy, Melissa (Dave), Tashia, Devin (Michelle), Drew, Nick, Ann (Brad), Kevin (Tiffany), Stuart, Rose, Ellen, Meg, Becca & Jennifer; siblings: Eleanor Hardt, Ruelle Smith, Marilyn Cox, Ed Smith & Shirley Johnson and special friend & neighbor Lorraine Koehl. She was preceded by siblings: Lois Bonsall, Margaret Johnson, Lucille Nagel, James Smith, Ray Smith & Annabelle Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 25, 2012 at TOYNTON'S WALWORTH FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Ken Markley officiating. Burial will follow at Darien Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at TOYNTON'S WALWORTH FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family suggests memorials to Darien United Methodist Church.
