Arthur Frederick Meyers, Elkhorn  (1927 - 2012)

Arthur Frederick Meyers, 84, of N6802 Gilbert, Elkhorn died on Sat. Jan. 21, 2012 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn,Wi. Arthur was born August 20, 1927 in Woodstock, IL, the son of Claude Meyers and Mabel Utesch. Arthur married Charlotte Zimmermann on August 22, 1953 in Hebron, IL. Arthur and his wife dairy farmed their entire working life. Arthur was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol (Dave) Katterhagen of Kansasville, WI and Debra (John) Hamid of Dearborn, MI; 6 sisters: Linda (Ed) Kelm of Elkhorn, WI, Betty (Emmett) Thompson of Sharon, WI, Mary Dade of Walworth, WI, Marge Beers of Oconomowoc, WI, June Blanke of Darien and Darlene Goeway of Richmond, IL; 3 grandchildren: Staci, Rachael and Joseph. He was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte in Dec. 2005.
Funeral services will be 12 noon on Thursday, Jan. 26, at the BETZER FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Joyce Rich officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Betzer Funeral Home from 10 am to service time on Thursday, Jan. 26. Memorials to Bethel United Methodist Church are suggested.
