Charlyne C. Hoesly, Brodhead, WI  (1931 - 2012)

Charlyne C. Hoesly, 80, of Brodhead, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She was born on Feb. 22, 1931, in City Point, WI, the daughter of Chester and Marion (Staffon) Jepson. She married Walter E. “Bud” Burandt in September of 1950. He passed away in 1969. Charlyne then married Ken Hoesly on Aug. 5, 1972.
Charlyne was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brodhead, and an active member of many of the church groups. She was a devoted farm wife and worked as a nurse’s aid at St. Clare Hospital, Monroe. Charlyne enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, but most importantly, being with family.
She is survived by her husband, Ken of Brodhead; three daughters: Denise (Bob LaBarre) Pinnow of Monticello, WI, Diane (Rick) Gretebeck and Kim(Jerry) Schupbach, both of Brodhead; two sons, Jeff (Peggy) Burandt of Janesville, and Mark (Patti) Burandt of Monroe; a brother, Richard (Margaret) Jepson of Orange City, FL; two sisters, Marlene Skau of Minneapolis, MN, and Dolly (Ron) Gieseke of Rockford, IL; thirteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.
A gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, from 1:30 until 4 p.m. at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
