Richard D. Delvis, 69, Johnson Creek, died on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at his home. He was born on Sept. 7, 1942, the son of Victor and Fern (Gerber) Delvis. He had served in the U.S. Army. Richard was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time with his family.
Survivors include four daughters: Karyn (Steve Brown) Eddy of Edgerton, Diane Delvis of Auburn, CA, Donna Delvis of Janesville, WI, and Julie Delvis of Marysville, CA; one son, Chad Delvis of Phoenix, AZ; his mother, Fern Delvis of Johnson Creek; two brothers, Butch (Sharon) of Sullivan and Ron (Linda) of Watertown; two sisters, Patricia Anderson of Milwaukee and Judy Carlson of Edgerton; 11 grandchildren: Danielle Delvis, Cassandra Eddy, Whitney Eddy, Kaitlyn Eddy, Jordan Brown, Abren Delvis, Krista Delvis, Bryant Delvis, Kersten Morris, Elizabeth Douthard, and Terrence Douthard; other relatives and friends.
Also preceding him in death was his father, Victor Delvis.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH in Lake Mills.
