Donald E. Schmidt, Janesville  (1953 - 2012)

Donald E. Schmidt, age 58, of Janesville died on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center. He was born on June 17, 1953, in Janesville, the son of the late Paul J. and Bernice (Casperson) Schmidt. Donald was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed cheering on the Packers and the Chicago Cubs, and he also enjoyed wrestling and bowling. Don was a very lovable, fun loving, and caring person, who always enjoyed a cold glass of root beer.
He is survived by his two brothers, Paul (Rose Marie) Schmidt of Evansville, WI, and Gary (Laura) Schmidt of Bagley, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in the CHAPEL AT MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK, with Rev. Bruce Gray officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
