George Kachinski Jr., Delavan  (1943 - 2012)

George Kachinski Jr., age 68, of Delavan, passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on July 29, 1943, in Chicago, the son of George Sr. and Irene Kachinski. He worked at Getzen in Elkhorn for many years, then worked for Lowes and Ace Hardware in Delavan until retirement. George enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Carole of Delavan; three children: Pat (Theresa) Kachinski of Delavan, Chrystal (Robert) Dent of Delavan, and Kip (fiancée, Kathy) Kachinski of Delavan; grandchildren: Melissa (Chris) Boss, Nicole Kachinski, Kimberly Dent, Sasha Dent, Jacob Kachinski, and Savannah Karnes; six great-grandchildren; and siblings: Margaret (Phil) Peterson of Delavan, Eddie (Peggy) Kachinski of Harvard, and Kathy Saunders of Lake Geneva. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, his close neighbors in Marino subdivision, and the family dogs, Duke and Lucy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at MONROE FUNERAL HOME in DELAVAN. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
