Lester William Krueger Sr., Elkhorn (1927 - 2012)

Lester William Krueger Sr., 84, of Westfield, WI, formerly of Lake Geneva, WI, died peacefully Saturday morning, Feb. 4, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, at his son’s home in rural Elkhorn, WI. Lester was born on Nov. 28, 1927, in Elkhorn, WI. He was the son of the late William Charles and Anna Mary Elisabeth (Mueller) Krueger. Lester was employed for over 15 years as a custodian with the Lake Geneva School District, retiring in 1990. Lester loved the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially deer hunting, and he was avid Packer Fan.
Lester is survived by his five children: Kim (Jamie) Krueger of Burlington, WI, Lester “Bud” (Tammy) Krueger of Elkhorn, WI, Tammy Serna of Elkhorn, WI, Alice (Scott) Dickman of Lake Geneva, WI, and Laura (Jon) Foster of Walworth, WI; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Jim) Macuba of Lake Geneva, WI; and one brother, Arthur (“Cookie”) Krueger of Lake Geneva, WI.
Lester was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Zimmerman; one grandson, Codie Krueger; and by three sisters: Josephine DeVries, Esther Malecki, and Ruthann Lampe.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at MILLARD COMMUNITY COVENANT CHURCH, N6713 County Road O, Elkhorn, WI, with Rev. Lyle Heinitz officiating.
