Paul G. Milz, Jr., Evansville, WI  (1931 - 2012)

June 23, 1931 – February 1, 2012
Paul passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 23, 1931, in Monroe, WI, to Peter Paul Milz, Sr. and Lois Boeck. He graduated from Bellville High School in 1949. In June 1959, Paul purchased Union Tavern where he was a prominent businessman up until the time of his death. He was involved with many activities and sponsorships throughout his life. Some of these include Wisconsin Tavern Leagues, Brooklyn Sportsman’s Club, Duck Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Waterfowl USA, and multiple men’s and women’s sports teams. He was an avid Badger, Packer, Brewer, and Bucks fan. He enjoyed Boxing (Golden Gloves), hunting, fishing (especially Musky), golfing, darts and billiards. Paul touched the lives of so many in his years and every person he touched remembers his little grin, infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor.
Paul is survived by his wife Janeace; his three children: Judy (Dan) Booker, Steve (Holly) Milz, Dan (Jennifer) Milz; three step-children; Jim (Rhonda) Crans, Randy (Diana) Crans, Lori (Bill) Lenz; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tony Milz and Norman (Janet) Milz; one aunt, Darlyne Bernett; many nieces and nephews; and Lucille Milz, the mother of his children. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank; sister, Mary Lou; son, Tom; grandchildren: Brian, Shannon, and James; and great-granddaughter, Natalie.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH EVANSVILLE with Reverend Matthew Poock officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at the WARD FUNERAL HOME, Evansville.
