Arthur Olin Bystol, age 75, of Fontana, WI, passed away Thursday Feb. 2, 2012, after a short illness at Willowfield Nursing Home in Delavan, WI. He was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Mt. Horeb, WI, the eldest son of Olin & Lillian (Mickelson) Bystol. Art was a caretaker-carpenter in the Geneva Lakes area for over 50 years.
In later years, Art loved driving around the neighborhood watching building projects in process. He read all the newspapers and fed the wild birds.
Art leaves two brothers, Richard (MaryAnn) of Libertyville, IL, and Ronald (Betsey) of Crossville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Joan Bystol Krabbe.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at TOYNTON'S WALWORTH FUNERAL HOME in Walworth, WI, with Rev. Robert Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Delavan Township. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
