David A. Klipstein, Janesville & Hillsboro (1947 - 2012)

David A. Klipstein, age 64 years, of Janesville and rural Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at his rural home near Hillsboro, WI.
He was born on May 23, 1947, to Melvin “Bud” and Dorothy (Popp) Klipstein in Hillsboro. He grew to adulthood in the Elroy area and attended Royall High School. David served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.
David was united in marriage to Marlene Hofrichter on Nov. 13, 1971, in Hillsboro. They lived in Janesville and at the farm near Hillsboro. He worked for General Motors in Janesville for over 30 years. He enjoyed many activities including pitching horseshoes, competing in several tournaments and belonging to different clubs, also enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and golf. He also enjoyed the outdoors and being at the farm.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; daughter, Miranda “Mandy” (Brian) Walls and grandson, Dylan of Janesville; mother, Dorothy of Elroy; brothers and sisters: Joyce (Tom) Sinkule of Prairie du Sac, Rodney (Debbie) of Orfordville, Roger (Jeannie) of Elroy, Donna (Bob) Sather of Madison, Gary of Elroy, Dennis (Mary Jo) of Elroy, Bruce of Elroy, Robert of Madison, Sandy Klipstein of Elroy, and Debra Rick of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the PICHA FUNERAL HOME in HILLSBORO, with Rev. Donald Ehler officiating. Burial with military rites will be at the Czech’s National Cemetery near Yuba.
