A Memorial Service for Paul Evert Karstetter, formerly of Darien, WI, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 503 E. Walworth Ave., DELAVAN, WI.
Paul Karstetter was born on Feb. 1, 1921, and died on Dec. 19, 2011, in San Antonio, TX, at the VA Hospital where he had lived the past two years. Paul's funeral was conducted on Dec. 30, 2011, at the Zoellner Funeral Home Chapel, New Braunfels, TX, with burial and full military rites following the service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.
Paul is survived by children: Sherry (Wayne) Iverson, John (Roberta) Karstetter of Delavan, Gary (Judy) Karstetter of Gilbert, AZ, Mary (Pat) Roherty of Darien, and Jim (Sherri) Karstetter of Commerce City, CO; siblings: Arlene Fast of Elroy, WI, Marlene Held of Harvard, IL, Gladys Austin of Beloit, Shirley Schultz of Hillsboro, Florence Wallmut of Janesville, Robert Karstetter of Clinton, and Frank (Bill) Karstetter of Beloit; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Paul was preceded in death by a sister, Leta Zeich; and wife, Viola Karstetter.
A reception for family and friends will follow the Memorial Service in the Parish Hall at Christ Episcopal Church.
