Carol Jean Schenk, Winter, WI/formerly Janesville  (1942 - 2012)

Carol Jean Schenk, 70, Winter, WI, formerly of Janesville, was called home to God on the 28th day of Dec., 2012, while surrounded by her family after a two year courageous battle with cancer. Carol was born on the 19th day of Oct., 1942, in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Earl and Florence Schmidt. She was united in marriage to David Schenk, Sr., on Aug. 14, 1993. Carol retired from General Motors in 2005, after 26 years of service, and moved to her lake house in Winter, WI. She was an avid Green Bay Packer and NASCAR fan, had an eternal love for life and touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.
Carol will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Dave Schenk, Sr.; and her six children: Cindy (Mike) Cusick of Milton, WI, Connie (Jeff) Corcoran of Beloit, WI, Christine (AL) Stubbendick, Tim (Kim) Corcoran, Wendi Wendt and David (Amy) Schenk, all of Janesville. Carol had a special love for her ten grandchildren: Tony, Jennifer, Michael, Jessica, Nicholas, Kimberly, Cedrick, David, Kaitlyn and Tommy; and her four great-grandchildren: Cody, Natalie, Mathew, and Alysin. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn (Paul) Rebman; two brothers, David Schmidt and Earl (Mary) Schmidt; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Jan. 4th, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon at SCHNEIDER, APFEL, SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME, Janesville. Burial services will be at Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
