Adeline L. Delaney, 92, of West Allis, WI, and formerly of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, in the home of her son. She was born Oct. 26, 1920, in Beloit, WI, the daughter of John and Lucy (Sorenson) Redmond. Adeline was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. She married Harold L. Delaney on Oct. 28, 1939, in Dubuque, IA. He predeceased her on Feb. 3, 1993. Adeline was employed by Prent Corporation, Janesville, WI, as an inspector, retiring May 28, 1990. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #197, R.S.V.P., Beloit and Janesville Senior Center, Wisconsin Camping Association, Folk Fair, Senior Dance Troup, Beloit Historical Society, Beloit Memorial High School Booster Club, Goldenaires Chorus. Adeline started the Beloit Figure Skating Club in 1945, and put on ice shows in Beloit and Janesville. She was also a volunteer at the Beloit Health Department.
Survivors include her two sons, Gary L. Delaney and Ronald L. (Margaret) Delaney; grandson, Daniel (Tori) Delaney; granddaughter, Brenda (Dennis) Wolter; great-grandchildren, Kylie and Dillon Delaney, Taran and Austin Wolter; brother, Richard (Dorothy) Redmond of Rockford, IL; sister, Mary (Alan) Wilson of Beloit, WI.
Adeline was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Sandra L. Delaney; brothers, John Redmond, Jr. and Martin Redmond; sister, Lucille (Redmond) Mattison.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, with Reverend Gene Van Galder officiating. Burial will be in Garden Bluff Cemetery, West Point, WI. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
