Todd Robert Phillips, age 52, of Albany, WI, passed away at home Dec. 21, 2012. He was born on July 14, 1960, in Madison, WI. He was a lifelong resident of Albany and a graduate of Albany High School, class of 1978. He worked for over 31 years for Woodbridge Corporation, as a Maintenance Tooler, in Brodhead, WI, and Germany.
Todd was a member of the Brooklyn and Brodhead trap shooting clubs for many years, as well as an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing, especially with his daughters. Todd was a member of the Albany and Janesville bowling leagues and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He also enjoyed passing time helping and socializing at his uncle’s tool shop, as well as a very passionate birder, enjoying building bird houses and bird watching from the front window with his best dog buddy, Scrappy-Doo.
Todd is survived by his wife, Phern (Johnson) Phillips of Albany, WI; daughters, Alison Phillips of Ashland, WI and Amber Phillips of Albany; mother, Delores Phillips of Monroe, WI; father, Robert (Donna) Phillips of Monroe, WI; sisters, Peggy (Kim) Wiesenberg of Monticello, WI, and Pat (Clayton) Everson of Monroe, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
Todd was preceded in death by his children, Heather and Tyler; grandparents, Howard and Alice Roenneberg and Charles and Helen Phillips.
An appreciative and heartfelt thank you to all our family and friends, who supported us through the years and the wonderful people at Agrace Hospice Care, for all your compassion and help in caring for Todd. We are forever grateful for the time we had with him and all the wonderful memories that we made over his life. We’ll always love you and miss you.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at ALBANY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany, WI. A Memorial Fund is being established in Todd’s memory.
