Rose M. Lyons, age 102, of Elkhorn, WI, formerly of Walworth, WI, passed away Thursday,
Dec. 20, 2012, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. She was born Dec. 5, 1910, in Humphrey, NE, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Kukla) Sturek. She married Maurice A. Lyons on May 17, 1932, in Scotia, NE. He preceded her May 9, 1982. Rose was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Fontana, WI, the Fontana Garden Club and the Walworth Women's Club.
Rose is survived by two children, Larry (Andrea) of Santa Rosa, CA, and Joan (Roger) Wichman of Delavan, WI; seven grandchildren: Kevin (Dhes) Lyons, David (Chrissie) Lyons, Michael (Andrea) Wichman, Scott Wichman, Jeffrey (Lisa) Wichman, Susan (John) Winters and John (Mandy) Wichman; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eleanor Reick of Vancouver, WA.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at ST BENEDICT CATHOLIC CHURCH in Fontana, WI, with Father Daniel Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Williams Bay, WI. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the CHURCH. The family suggests memorials to Lakeland Health Care Center.
