Irene D. Vierck, Edgerton, WI  (1924 - 2012)

Irene D. Vierck, age 88, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, comfortably in her home. Irene was born on Sept. 21, 1924, to Albert Meyer and Bernice Ludeman in Cold Spring WI, moving to Milton, at the age of 3. She graduated from Milton Union Schools. She met her husband, Henry T. Vierck, and they were married on June 1, 1946, celebrating 66 years of marriage in 2012. They farmed in the Milton area for many years. She was also a Nursing Assistant, working at Rock County Health Care Center and Edgerton Hospital. She was an active member of the St. Johns Ladies Aid, Edgerton Hospital Auxiliary and Hummin' Homemakers Group. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sewing, quilting, knitting, anything crafty and cooking.
Irene is survived by her husband, Henry; four sons: Russell, Charles (Madonna), Al (Renee) and Ken (Tammy) Vierck; one daughter, Diane (Mark) Hartel; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Russell, Jr.
A family service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK at 2200 Milton Ave, Janesville WI, in the mausoleum.
