Dawn M. Amon, 53, of Meadowlark Lane, Elkhorn, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn. She was born Sept. 21, 1959, in Janesville, WI, the daughter of Albert and Charlotte (Dalton) Flock. Dawn was united in marriage to David Amon on Aug. 2, 2003, in Elkhorn, WI. David died Feb. 23, 2008. Dawn was employed as Dietary Manager for over 10 years with Geneva Lake Manor of Lake Geneva, WI. Dawn enjoyed the outdoors, working in her yard tending to her flowers and her annual trip to Warrens, WI, for the Cranberry Festival.
Dawn was truly happy being a mom. She is survived by her two children: Branden M. Smiley and Jessica Lynn Smiley, both of Elkhorn, WI; her mother, Charlotte Flock of Janesville; one sister, Denise (Ron) Schmidtt; five brothers: Dale (Pam) Flock, David (Kathy) Flock, Ronnie (Carrie) Flock, all of Janesville, Mark (Coco) Flock and Donnie Flock, both of Beloit, WI; and several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert; and her husband, David.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12Noon Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at HAASE-LOCKWOOD & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, WI, with Rev. Robert Peiffer officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in the Town of Delavan, WI. Visitation will be at the FUNERAL HOME on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
