Norman E. Dressler, 75, died Thursday, August 2, 2012 in his home. He was born October 23, 1936 in Beloit, WI, the son of Edmund and Mildred (Elliott) Dressler. Norman attended Beloit Schools. He joined the Air Force after high School and was stationed at Selfridge Field in Michigan during the Korean Conflict. Norman married Stella Smith on November 17, 1955 in Mt. Clemens, MI. Norman was employed by General Motors for 49 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the UAW Local 95 and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Norman loved spending time with his family and going for ice cream with them and also going to breakfast with his friends. He en-joyed traveling, hunting, fishing, collecting coins, driving his corvette, watching NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers Brewers and bull riding.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Dressler of Beloit, WI; children: Gary (Lynette) Dressler of Beloit, WI, and Daniel (Lori) Dressler of IN; grandchildren, Marissa (Troy) Luchsinger, Shawn Dressler, Seth Dressler, Kefer Dressler and Tanner Dressler; great grandchildren, Noell, Rebekha, Addie and Elizabeth; brothers, Kenneth Dressler and Lyle (Sharon) Dressler both of Beloit, WI; nieces and nephews; and his dog, “Annie”. He was predeceased by his parents, and grandson, Aaron.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 617 St. Lawrence Ave., Beloit, WI, with Reverend Roger Elliott officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to7 p.m. Monday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.
