Ralph Roy, former resident of Janesville, died July 28, 2012, at the age of 97 years. He was born Feb. 22, 1915, in St. Johnsbury, VT. He married the former Gratia June Nolin of St. Johnsbury, VT. They lived in Beloit and Janesville, WI, for 27 years. Ralph was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, and was affiliated with Fairbanks Morse and Sears Roebuck in Beloit for 20 years. He purchased Milton Lawns Memorial Park in Janesville, WI, in 1965, and operated that business until his retirement in 1974.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Roy of Madison, WI, and William (Suzanne) Roy of West Chester, OH; three grandchildren: Kirsten (Mason) Dorn of Verona, WI, Alexander Roy of West Chester, OH, and Maxwell Roy of West Chester, OH; one great-grandchild, Ayla Grey Dorn, of Verona, WI; He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary (Roy) Ashcroft and Yvette (Roy) Reeves; and two brothers, Roland Roy and Leopold (Paul) Roy.
A memorial service in his memory will be held at Corpus Christi Parish, St. Johnsbury, VT, at a future date to be determined by the family. Private burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Johnsbury, VT.
