Doris Alice Seversen, Janesville  (1917 - 2012)

Doris Alice Seversen, age 94, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital, Janesville, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18, 1917, in Green County on the family farm the daughter of Lyman and Sylvia (Gretzmaker) Farrell. Doris married Lloyd Seversen on Oct. 12, 1935, in Rockford IL, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1997.
Doris is survived by three children: George (Betsy) Seversen of Neillsville, Patricia (Joe) Marshall of Janesville, and Michael (Ronda) Seversen of Hallsville MO; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna in 1984; and two sisters, Viola Hagen and Elaine Olson.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012, at the WARD FUNERAL HOME, EVANSVILLE, with Reverend Kevin Dooley of St. Paul's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville. Friends may call on Friday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
