William V. "Waldo" Bender, Janesville  (1953 - 2012)

William V. “Waldo” Bender, age 59, of Janesville, died of heart failure on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. He was born in Richland Center on Feb. 18, 1953, the son of Guy and Ardis (Sittig) Bender, and was a 1972 graduate of Parker High School. William married Patricia Kowalski on Dec. 15, 1990, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Janesville. He worked as a truck driver for DeLong Trucking. He enjoyed riding his Harley (carried flags for MDA Tub Run), was a car enthusiast, and loved watching old movies.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two step-children, Todd (Kelly) Onsgard and Michelle Chan, all of Janesville; three grandchildren: Cole Calkins, Taylor Onsgard, and Ethan Chan; his mother, Ardis Bender of Janesville; two brothers, Glen (Sheila) Bender and Jim (Shirley) Bender, all of Janesville; a sister, Kathy Almond of Rockford, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
