Delores B. Pells, 88, died on March 14, 2010, at Mercy Manor, Janesville. She was born in Fort Atkinson on July 30, 1921, the daughter of Fred and Marcella (Jaeck) Jordan. She married Duane L. Pells on July 30, 1938, in Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, IA. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 2003. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, where she was very active.
She is survived by two children, Diane (Kenton) Roehl of Janesville and Dale (Jane) Pells of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren: Eric (Angie) Roehl of Tallahassee, FL, Kevin (Gloria) Pells of Louisville, KY, and Keri (Jon) Hahm of Colorado Springs, CO; five great-grandchildren: Jennifer Marie and Amanda Jo Roehl, Alec Micah, Kalea Elizabeth, and Everett Levi Hahm; and a sister, Bernadine Fry of Fort Atkinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, “Bud” Chapman and Ted Young.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, Janesville, with Rev. Richard Lehmann officiating. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park following the service. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the CHURCH.
