Gertrude W. Dahl, Janesville  (1912 - 2009)

Gertrude W. Dahl, of Cedar Crest, Janesville, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 26, 2009. She was born to Alice and Charles Willard on Sept. 15, 1912, in Heron Lake, MN. She graduated cum laude from the U. of Minn. with a BA. After working at the Mayo Clinic as a librarian and in NYC as an administrative assistant, she married Sophus Dahl and devoted her life to making a home for her family and volunteer work. She was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Nancy Foote of Mundelein, IL, and Marilyn (Rick) Hallgren of Okemos, MI; along with her four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Trudi donated her remains to the UW Anatomy Dept. to aid in research and education. A private memorial service will commemorate Trudi's life will be held out of state. Memorials may be made to Hospicecare Inc. of Janesville.
