Dennis Wayne Ransom, Edgerton, WI/formerly of Merrillan, WI  (1947 - 2009)

Dennis Wayne Ransom, 62, of Edgerton and formerly of Merrillan, WI, died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born in Black River Falls, WI, on Oct. 8, 1947, to Clyde and Anna (Grancorvitz) Ransom. Dennis graduated from Lincoln High School, Alma Center, WI, in 1965; from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree; and from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he received a Masters of Business Administration Degree. He was employed as a Supervisor for WPS of Madison. Dennis enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a loyal Badger and Packer fan. Dennis will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. But most of all, Dennis was a loving father and brother and will be deeply missed by his family.
Dennis is survived by two adopted sons, Mike (Amy) Fuerbringer of Janesville, WI, and Heath Ransom of Idaho; two sons, Kyle Ransom of Madison, and Lucas Ransom of Milton; two brothers, Gene (Judith) Ransom of Black River Falls, WI, and Raymond Ransom of Merrillan, WI; one step brother, William Grancorvitz of Puma, AZ; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard Guy Ransom.
Funeral services will be at 12 Noon on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH-ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME, EDGERTON. Burial will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at 12 Noon at Oak-wood Cemetery in Merrillan, WI. Visitation will be on Monday at the FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be given in Dennis' name to the American Diabetes Association.
The family is especially thankful for the friends and doctors, nurses and staff at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison for their
kindness and support.
