Lucille A. Szymkowski, Palmyra  (1918 - 2009)

Lucille A. Szymkowski, 91, of Palmyra, WI, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at Fort Atkinson Hospital. She was born on July 1, 1918, daughter of the late James and Bertie Walton. Lucille was retired from Borgs in Delavan, were she worked for 27 years. She enjoyed playing euchre with her card club in Fort Atkinson, bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, and going up north.
She is survived by her children: Dorothy (Lyle) Traeder, Kay (Wally) Kinateder, Mary Jane Williams, and Christine (Eric) Nelson; daughter-in-law, Frances Szymkowski; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, LaVern Behselich; and sister-in-law, Marion Walton. Lucille is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel in 1991; and her son, James in 2009.
A funeral service for Lucille will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at MEALY’S FUNERAL HOME, 320 W. Main St., Palmyra, with Pastor Larry Turner officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in the town of Sullivan, following the service.
