Joan E. Bleisch, Janesville  (1938 - 2009)

Joan E. Bleisch, 71, of Janesville, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at her daughter Jody’s home in Oak Creek, WI. Joan was born in Janesville on Oct. 27, 1938, the daughter of Arthur and Evelyn (Nyman) Moore. She married Duane “Wayne” Bleisch on May 23, 1959. Joan grew up in Janesville and graduated from Janesville High School in 1957. While in high school she began working for Citizen’s Mutual Insurance Company, continuing there until her daughter was born. She later worked in the office of the Janesville Ford dealership for many years until she retired. Joan was a charter member of Roxbury Church of Christ.
Surviving are her daughter, Jody Bleisch of Oak Creek; two brothers, George (Carol) Moore of Florida and Gerald (Elise) Moore of Janesville; nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Duane “Wayne” Bleisch on July 12, 2007. Her parents also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 2200 Milton Ave., Janesville, with Pastor Jon Grice officiating. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum. Assisting the family is HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME (608-741-1713).
