Harvey W. Laue, 87, of N. Como Rd., Elkhorn, WI, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Willowfield Nursing Home, Delavan. Harvey was born on Nov. 29, 1921, in Marengo, IL, son of Henry and Bertha Laue. He graduated from Marengo High School. On May 1, 1943, in Harmony, IL, he was united in marriage to Hazel E. Frohling. Harvey farmed in the Marengo and Huntley, IL, area for several years. Then in 1966 he and Hazel moved to their farm on MacLean Road in the Town of Geneva. Harvey retired from farming in 1994.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Hazel; one daughter, Cindy (Mick) Remer of Elkhorn; four grandsons: Alex and Lucas Remer, Christopher and Andrew Laue; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Delores (Richard) Sorensen, Della Kraft, and Eleanor Phelps, all of Marengo, IL. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Donald; one granddaughter; four brothers: Harry, Floyd, and two infants; and one sister, Cory Thompson.
