Michael Paul Dahnert, 54, of Whitewater, WI, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital, in Fort Atkinson. Michael was born in Fort Atkinson on Jan. 21, 1955, the son of Arthur and Gladys (Crandall) Dahnert. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1973. He was a dairy farmer in the Whitewater area. Mike loved to cook, work in the garden, and loved sports.
Surviving are his mother, Gladys Dahnert of Peoria, AZ; brother, Robert (June) Dahnert of DeForest, WI; brother, Gerald (Cathy) Dahnert of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Diana Dahnert of Rockford, IL; brother, Tom Dahnert of Peoria, AZ; and sister, Cindy (Bret) May of Fort Atkinson, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, Dick and James.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at the NITARDY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, FORT ATKINSON, , with Rev. A.S. Christiansen officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson.
