Donald J. Frost Sr., 84, of Janesville, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at his home. He was born in DeKalb, IL, on Oct. 1, 1925, the son of Lester and Ethel (Klein) Frost. Don served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater. He married Jean Deibert in 1953, and she preceded him in death in 1970. He then married Judith Kopka in 1970, and she preceded him in death in 2000. He married Victoria Cheesebro in 2004. Don was a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years working for Midwest Operating Engineer Local 150. He enjoyed camping and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria; two sons, Donald (Amanda) Frost Jr. of Janesville and Michael (Lori) Frost of Belvidere, IL; stepdaughter, Donna (Larry) Schubert of Woodale, IL; brother, Gerald (Delores) Frost of Dundee, IL; special dogs: Rolo, Bo, and Maggie; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st and 2nd wives; son, Shawn Frost; brother, David Frost; and special dog, Clyde.
