Margaret Copus, 69, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Badger Prairie Health Care Center in Verona. She was born Nov. 4, 1939, in Limas Center, WI; the daughter of Merrill and Betty (Hadley) C. Elphick.
Margaret is survived by her children, Cynthia Copus-Pulvermacher of Janesville, WI and Charles R. Copus, of Monona, WI; one brother, Jim (Elinor) Elphick of Pardeeville, WI; one sister, Shirley (George) Barlass, of Janesville, WI; four grandchildren: Theresa (Nic) Getchel of Milton, Jeremy James of Edgerton, Michael James of Janesville, and Charles Copus of Stoughton; three great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Devon and Ashton; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother, Stanley Elphick; and one sister, Carol Grandt.
A private memorial service will be held. Memorials may be directed to: Cindy Copus-Pulvermacher, 103 N. Washington St., Janesville, WI 53548 for a memorial fund being established in memory of Margaret.
Margaret's family would like to thank Badger Prairie Health Care Center for their exceptional care of Margaret. They also wish to thank Hospice and her many friends.
