Vivian "Teter" A. Casteel, Montello, WI  (1952 - 2008)

March 18, 1952 MONTELLO—Vivian "Teter" A. Casteel, 56, of Montello, WI, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 18, 1952, in Athens, TN, the daughter of Rosemarie Rossing and Curtis Casteel. She graduated from Janesville Craig High School in 1970. Teter very much enjoyed traveling and trying new things, some of which were logging in Colorado, working at a sugar beet factory in Oregon, and being the shipping manager for Pizza Blends in Kansas City, KS. She was able to achieve her lifelong dream as a semi-driver doing long hauls from coast to coast. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Teter enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. She was a league bowler at Thal acres and immensely enjoyed family gatherings. She will be remembered for her gentle loving soul, always the first to respond when anybody needed help and her dedication to her close-knit family and many friends.
Survivors include her mother, Rosemarie Rossing of Montello; four sisters: Sherry (Fred) Pesch of Sturgeon Bay, Denise Casteel of Janesville, Nannette (Jack) Williams-Onsgard of Janesville, and Gen-nia Brady of Etowah, TN; two brothers, Randy (Starla) Casteel of Ben-ton, TN, and Tony (Michelle) Williams of Woodbine, GA; one great-nephew, Cayden Williams-Schultz of Janesville; nieces; nephews; spe-cial friends, Vicky and Gill; other relatives and many friends.
Teter will be met in heaven by those who went before her: her grandparents: Chic and Myrtle Demro, Thomas and Dulcie Casteel; father, Curtis Casteel; stepfather, Duane Rossing; brothers, Steven Ary and Thomas Casteel; and nephew, Shawn Williams.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 5 until 7 p.m., followed by a prayer service at STEINHAUS-HOLLY FUNERAL HOME in Westfield. Online condolences available at www.steinhaushollyfuneralhome.com.
Another visitation will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008, at WHITCOMB-LYNCH-ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME in Janesville from 4 until 6 p.m., with a prayer service to follow. A light dinner will follow the service at 1600 Mayfair Drive, Janesville.
