JANESVILLE

Police on Monday night closed one road and responded to reports of high water in several other areas across the city and Rock County because of heavy rain, a Rock County Communications supervisor told The Gazette.

Police closed County F under Highway 51 on Monday evening. A Gazette reporter who drove on the road in the afternoon saw several areas with high, flowing water.

Other Janesville areas reported to have high water included several intersections on Racine Street, Memorial Drive, Mount Zion Avenue, Ruger Avenue and Stellar Drive. High water also was reported in other areas in Rock County, the supervisor said.
