THEFT at 1:22 p.m. Thursday at the 2700 block of Lucerne Drive, Janesville. A resident said someone entered a vehicle overnight and stole brake parts and a tool kit, all worth about $755.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY at 9:25 p.m. Thursday, at Bostwick Avenue and Clark Street, Janesville. A resident saw three male juveniles on bicycles who were checking doors on parked cars. The resident said the juveniles were all wearing backpacks.

Walworth County


LEON L. GRIFFIN, 28, of Milwaukee, with burglary and misdemeanor theft. UW-Whitewater police say on Jan. 26, Griffin went into someone’s office and took textbooks.

JOHN L. KIM, 32, of 493 E. Hartwell St., No. 3, Elkhorn, with burglary, possession of burglarious tools, criminal damage to property and misdemeanor bail jumping. Elkhorn police say on April 28, Kim broke into an Elkhorn jewelry store and caused at least $3,000 worth of damage.

MATTHEW T. WAGNER, 27, of 317 Freeman St., Genoa City, with possession with intent to deliver marijuana near a school and disorderly conduct with domestic abuse assessments. Genoa City police say on May 3, they found Wagner with 17.25 grams of marijuana after a woman told them she fought with Wagner about the drug, and that he pushed her into a tub.

Walworth County


CHRISTINA M. RAMIREZ, 33, of W3291 Willow Road, Lake Geneva, with attempting to flee a traffic officer and operating without a license for the second time in three years. Lake Geneva police say on April 27, Ramirez fled from officers, reaching speeds of over 90 mph, until she rolled over and was ejected from the vehicle.

LUIS A. RAMIREZ, 31, of W7941 Creek Road, Delavan, with battery by prisoners. Walworth County sheriff’s deputies say on May 15, Ramirez fought another inmate at the Walworth County Jail after a disagreement stemming from changing the channel on the TV.

AMBER L. REINS, 20, of the Kenosha County Jail, with identity theft by avoidance and obstructing an officer. Lake Geneva police say on April 13, Reins gave someone else’s identifying information during a traffic stop.

JESSICA R. RODRIGUEZ- POREP, 28, of 1613 Hiawatha Drive, Delavan, with attempting to flee an officer, as well as hit-and-run of an unattended vehicle. Williams Bay police say on May 19, she drove away from officers into a ditch and others’ lawns, causing lawn and some home damage, before stop sticks stopped her.

ROBERT B. ROGERS, 54, of 127 N. Walworth St., Unit 3C, Darien, with substantial battery and disorderly conduct. City of Delavan police say on May 16, Rogers knocked a man unconscious with a bar stool during a bar fight. The man needed 10 staples to close the cut in the back of his head.

KERCHU XIONG, 19, of Milwaukee, with possession with intent to deliver marijuana. Walworth County sheriff’s deputies say on May 15, they conducted a controlled buy of 2 pounds of marijuana from Xiong. does not condone or review every comment. Read more in our Commenter Policy Agreement
