Intoxicated driving arrests

DAVID W. RHYNER, 50, of 269 Longwood Drive, Janesville, at 2:09 a.m. Thursday at home on a charge of first-offense OWI.

TROY SCHREINER, 31, of Fort Atkinson, at 2:05 a.m. Friday at East Highway 59 and North County Line Road, town of Lima, on a charge of first-offense OWI. Rock County sheriff’s deputies say Schreiner was unconscious behind the wheel stopped at a stop sign.

POLICE PURSUIT reported at 12:22 a.m. Thursday. Rock County sheriff’s deputies say they tried to stop a suspect who fled officers and reached speeds of up to 100 mph.

ROBBERY reported at 7:22 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of East Richardson Springs Road, town of Fulton, when a gas station employee said a man kept his hand in his pocket and demanded cash and a box of cigarettes, Rock County sheriff’s deputies say.

Charged

GARRATE J. HOLTE, 27, of 42 S. Fremont St., Janesville, with second-offense possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Janesville police say on Jan. 30, they found Holte “passed out” at the wheel of a car with keys in the ignition and found him with 34 grams of marijuana, a glass bong and $925 in cash.

Charged

EVA A. JOHNSON, 46, address listed as P.O. Box 156, Delavan, with a repeater count of identity theft for financial gain and obstructing an officer. City of Delavan police say between July 28 and Oct. 25, Johnson used the credit card of a deceased family member to buy alcohol three times.

JIMMIE G. MINETT, 51, no listed address, with strangulation and suffocation, battery, and disorderly conduct, with domestic abuse assessments. Whitewater police say on Jan. 23, Minett attacked and grabbed the neck of someone he knew who confronted Minett about drug paraphernalia he had found.

JOSE J. NUNEZ LLAMAS, 26, of N9188 Old County P, Whitewater, with escape. Walworth County sheriff’s deputies say on Dec. 19, Nunez Llamas did not return from his work release. Nunez Llamas was supposed to be held for 48 hours after his jail term ended on Dec. 23 so U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement could contact him.

BRYAR E. VELEY, 26, of 1109 Lein Drive, Edgerton, with identity theft by avoidance, obstructing an officer and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping. Elkhorn police say on Jan. 27, they stopped Veley for not wearing his seatbelt, but he gave them someone else’s name because he had warrants out for him.
