A 16-YEAR OLD JANESVILLE BOY at 2:09 p.m. Wednesday at the Janesville Police Department, 100 N. Jackson St., Janesville, referred by juvenile authorities on suspicion of one count of felony sex assault of a child under 13 years old.


FRAUD at 3:44 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of McKinley Street, Janesville. A woman said she believes her debit card was used without her permission for fraudulent charges totaling “several thousand dollars” without her permission by someone she knows.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday at Edison Middle School, 1649 S. Chatham St., Janesville. Witnesses reported seeing a man arrive in a vehicle near the school. The man was behaving “oddly” by throwing his arms in the air. The man left, and police were still trying to locate the man to question him.

JOSHUA D. TRAUGHBER, 21, of 179 S. Lewis St., No. 5, Elkhorn, with strangulation and suffocation, battery, and disorderly conduct, all with domestic abuse assessments. Elkhorn police say on Nov. 17, he got into an argument with a woman he knows and eventually hit her, choked her and put his knees on her chest, which gave her bruised ribs. does not condone or review every comment.
