Janesville Morning Rotary recently honored five Students of the Month in October.
Milton High School student Erin Swope, daughter of Beth and Brian Swope. She was a member of French Club, forensics, Interact Club, Science Club, Future Business Leaders of America, band, pit orchestra, Literacy Club, the newspaper/yearbook staff, National Honor Society, National French Honor Society and Quill and Scroll. She plans to attend college to double major in international business and finance.
Milton High School student Sean Harvatine, son of Sarah and Sean Harvatine. He was a member of Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Interact Club, tennis, swim, football and basketball, and he was the student council president. He plans to attend University of Minnesota-Twin Cities or UW-Madison.
Craig High School student Lauren Sherman, daughter of Vicki and Jim Sherman. She was a member of Tri-M, Spanish National Honor Society, Adventure Club, National Science Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Teen Book Club and Key Club, and she was a Janesville Schools Outdoor Lab guide and Porter Scholar. She plans to attend Northwestern University to pursue an undergraduate degree in biology/pre-med and a graduate degree in epigenetics.
Parker High School student Ross Cavey, son of Jacqueline and Dean Cavey. He was a member of National Honor Society, FIRST Robotics Club, DECA, swim and soccer. He plans to attend University of Alabama in Huntsville to major in aerospace engineering.
Parker High School student Alexis Fenrick, daughter of Suzie and Jeff Fenrick. She was a member of Spanish National Honor Society, National Honor Society, Link Crew, cross country, track and basketball. She also is a member of the Rock Aqua Jays ski team. Fenrick plans to attend a four-year university to pursue a career in athletic training.
