The Blackhawk Golden “K” Kiwanis Club tentatively plans to put its truck back on the ice in Traxler Park on Wednesday.

The 15th Truck on Ice Contest will kick off that day, with tickets on sale beginning Monday, according to a news release.

Each ticket gives the bearer one guess as to when the truck will sink through the ice on the Traxler Park lagoon, according to the release.

Scheduled Janesville ticket locations include:

  • Janesville Athletic Club, 1301 Black Bridge Road: Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 5-6.
  • Basics Cooperative, 1711 Lodge Drive: Tuesday, Feb. 6.
  • Sentry Foods East, 2822 E. Milwaukee St.: Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 8-10.
  • Blackhawk Community Credit Union West, 2640 W. Court St.: Thursday and Friday, Feb. 8-9.
  • Blackhawk Credit Union, 3012 Deerfield Drive: Friday, Feb. 9.

Tickets will be available every day at:

  • Davis Citgo, 45 E. Racine St.
  • Mac’s Pizza Shack, 2307 Milton Ave.
  • My Apartment, 15 N. Arch St.
  • Summit Credit Union, 2330 Kennedy Road.

Tickets also can be bought from any Golden “K” member.

Tickets cost $10 for three guesses or $20 for eight guesses. Proceeds support student scholarships for schools and organizations in Janesville, according to the release.

The first-place guess will win $3,000 in cash.

Four second-place winners will receive $250 each, and 10 third-place winners will receive $100 each.
