TOWN OF ALBION—A girl was flown by helicopter to Madison on Saturday after she was pulled from the water at Hickory Hills Campground, officials from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and Janesville Fire Department confirmed.

Battalion Chief Ryan Murphy said Janesville paramedics, an Edgerton unit and Mercyhealth’s MD-1 doctor were among those who cared for the girl until they turned her over to Med Flight, which took her to University Hospital or American Family Children’s Hospital.

No other information about the incident at the campground at 865 Hillside Road, north of Edgerton, could be confirmed Saturday night.
