A Delavan woman pleaded not guilty last week to charges she came close to hitting people while driving a stolen pickup truck, court records show.

Christine V. Faytus, 22, faces charges that include two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, driving a vehicle without owner consent, trying to take a vehicle without owner consent, and two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer.

The charges stem from a Nov. 30 incident where Elm Grove police said Faytus crashed a stolen white Ford F-150 pickup truck after almost hitting two people, according to the criminal complaint. Police suspected she was intoxicated at the time and had yelled at onlookers.

Faytus is next due in court for a hearing in Waukesha County Court at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17.
