TOWN OF BELOIT

An Avalon woman was arrested on a charge of ninth-offense intoxicated driving early Saturday morning, according to a criminal complaint filed in Rock County Court on Wednesday.

Judith D. Maciulis, 59, of 12945 E. County A, Avalon, was seen driving erratically on Riverside Drive, Beloit-Newark Road and Afton Road before town of Beloit police stopped her on Pow Wow Trail around 3 a.m., according to the complaint.

Motorists called 911 to report the behavior, including one who saw her van go in and out of a roadside ditch, according to the complaint.

Maciulis’ previous intoxicated driving violations began in 1989, with the most recent in December 2004, according to the complaint.

Maciulis was held at the Rock County Jail until her first court appearance Wednesday, when she was held on a $500 cash bond and ordered not to drive or drink alcohol until the case is completed, according to online court records.
