Police believe a woman they say fraudulently withdrew $7,500 from a Portage bank Tuesday might also be involved with the fraud of a Delavan bank, according to a Wisconsin Crime Alert Network release.

Portage police are looking for a woman who is black; 5 feet, 6 inches tall; and about 50 to 65 years old who identified herself using the driver’s license and Social Security information from a Florida person who is in the military, the release states.

While investigating the incident at a U.S. Bank in Portage, police said in the release they learned a U.S. Bank branch in Delavan had a fraud transaction Saturday of $6,500.

“Alert sent statewide as suspect appears to be active in various areas,” the release states.

Those with information can contact Portage police at 608-742-2174 or robert.bagnall@portgaewi.gov.
