JANESVILLE

The recent break-in at CTR Firearms in Janesville is likely connected to a burglary of a gun shop in Dane County, Janesville police say.

Surveillance video shows a person or persons of similar description at both after-hours break-ins, said Lt. Terry Sheridan of the Janesville police detectives.

No guns were taken in the break-in at CTR Firearms, 3025 Woodlane Drive, Janesville, around 12:19 a.m. Jan. 31, police reported.

Someone did get away with 17 firearms from a gun shop in Oregon, also on Jan. 31. The alarm in that incident went off around 3:30 a.m., according to news reports.

There is no indication that the break-in at Armageddon Supplies gun shop in the town of Janesville on Jan. 29, where seven handguns were taken, is related to the other two, Sheridan said.
