A federal grand jury indicted a Janesville man Thursday on a charge of possession of 100 grams or more of heroin with intent to distribute.

Tyrae L. Ford, 40, Janesville, possessed the drug on Jan. 1, according to a news release.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin had no other information about the case.

Penalties for the crime range from five to 40 years in prison.
